Aims and Objectives
The Summer School aims to generate awareness raising and knowledge sharing about changes of healthcare systems in the digital age. With the help of change management and evidence-based policy making, participants will understand the functioning of health systems, the context and rationale of workforce development. Students will be able to identify major challenges and innovative solutions, and understand the impact of digital transformation in healthcare and its workforce. In addition, it aims to facilitate the attitude change of the healthcare professionals starting with students, while developing cultural sensitivity towards digital health capability. The Summer School will incorporate case studies and teamwork to find and validate new skills to be successfully implemented in the health sector, and to upskill the workforce in line with the state of maturity of digitalisation. Students will have the opportunity to obtain knowledge about specific topics related to e-health workforce development e.g., labour market dynamics, strengthening health systems, benefits and use of big data, change management, technology-driven initiatives and opportunities, digital healthcare ecosystems, and telemedicine and e-health solutions to support sustainable and effective care.
